My Local Co: three brands, one family
One owner, three brands, and no connection between them. We turned a house of brands into a branded house.
The chaos
My Local Co's owner ran three brands: My Local, Artie's Harvest, and Golden Meadow, a relaunch of the Humble Honey line. Each lived in its own world, with its own look and its own stores. The design had grown the way it does for a lot of young companies. There was some bad Photoshop, some Microsoft templates, and a few cheap designers here and there. It got them started, but it wasn't going to get them onto the shelves they wanted.
The clarity
When they were ready to level up, we started with My Local, their flagship, and built a real brand: clear, consistent, and confident. It started a domino effect. They loved how much clearer it was, and we kept going, updating imagery and refining as the company grew.
A few years later we looked at the other brands and asked a bigger question: what if these weren't separate? We took the DNA of the My Local brand and built a system for Artie's Harvest and Golden Meadow from it. Each brand keeps its own market and personality, and all three now feel like they belong to the same family.
My Local Honey
The flagship. Raw honey in four sizes, with a color for each.
My Local Hot Honey
The heat line. Four flavors (Original, Mesquite, Chipotle, and Sriracha), each with its own heat scale on the label.
Artie's Harvest
Raw, unfiltered wildflower honey in a blue label, plus a new line of small-batch fruit syrups (blueberry, blackberry, strawberry, and raspberry) with a gingham pattern and a color for each fruit.
Golden Meadow
Wildflower and clover honey, each variety in a clean white label with its own color flag.
What I built
Packaging and labels for all three brands, including My Local Hot Honey and Artie's Harvest fruit syrups
One website that houses the whole family
Ads, including their delivery driver bicycles
Marketing strategy across the product lines
The result
New stores and new markets opened up after the rebrand. My Local is now in Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, and Market of Choice. Artie's Harvest is in Fred Meyer, Safeway, and Albertsons.
